In this message, The Gift Of Koinonia, Kenny takes us into 1 John 1:1-2:2 and explains the importance of Jesus taking on flesh and shedding His blood and giving His life for us on the cross. He talks about the forgiveness we receive and that God’s wrath was taken away. But he focuses on the fellowship, or koinonia, we have been brought into by Christ and our responsibility to steward this gift of koinonia we have received from God.
In this message,”Under The Influence“, Kenny starts with Matthew 6:19-21 where Jesus says “do not lay up treasures on earth but treasures in Heaven, because where your treasure is there your heart will be also”. Then he challenges us with the question, “What are we under the influence of?”.
In this message, Walk Worthy Of The Calling, Kenny is in Ephesians 4:1 looking at the Father who has called us and what He has called us to be and challenges us to live our lives in a manner that matches the true value of our calling in Christ.
In this message, Walk In His Works, Kenny is in Ephesians 2:1-10 looking at who we were before salvation, our new identity in Christ because of God’s mercy, grace and love; and our calling to walk in the works God has prepared for us ahead of time.
In this message, He Has Risen, Pastor Kenny talks about the implications of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It gives us a promise of a future large-scale resurrection of believers in Christ and a promise of a present-day in-breaking of the powers of the age to come in our lives so that we as Jesus’ disciples could live a new life as His new creation.
This is the ninth sermon in a series in the letter of James that is titled “Establish Your Heart”. Pastor Kenny reminds us of the stewardship we have to establish our heart, both as individually and corporately, by speaking the words and doing the works of the Kingdom that will produce the life of the Kingdom.
