This is part 6 in a teaching series on Ephesians. Kenny starts into Ephesians 2:1-10 by first giving these verses some context by connecting it to Paul’s prayer that closes out chapter 1. In Ephesians 2:1-10 Paul tells them how the power of God, that was at work in raising Jesus from the dead in the past, was the power at work in us in the past, is also now at work in us in the present, and will continue to work in us in the future to transform us to be like Jesus.
This is a recording from the Kingdom Life radio program with Kenny Hebert and Joe Greene on WLPV in Greenfield, MA. This is the tenth episode in a series of discussions on the Holy Spirit sermon series that Joe preached on at Second Baptist Church in South Hadley this past summer. In this episode, The Spirit Advances God’s Plan Part 2, Kenny and Joe continue a discussion on what it means and looks like for us, the church, to be empowered to advance God’s plan. They also talk about the miracle of salvation, when a person experience new life in Christ.
In this message, “Upward, Forward And Onward”, Pastor Kenny explains what baptism means and then reminds us that we have already been raised with Christ and using Col 3:1-4 calls us to no longer be bound by our past; to no longer linger in the past but to now focus our attention in a new direction. We are to look upward to christ our king who reigns over us and look forward to our ultimate future when he returns for us and move onward with him in the things he is doing in and through us right now.
