He starts with the spiritual blessings God the father has given us and then shares how this reveals the disposition of the Father’s heart to be benevolent toward us. He shares how Paul is contrasting the various Pagan gods these believers would have been familiar with to our heavenly Fathering hopes that the believers would be grounded in the great love and grace of the Father.
This is part 1 in a teaching series on Ephesians. Kenny gives us an introduction to this letter the Apostle Paul has written starting with Ephesians 1:1-2. He gives us some background on the Apostle Paul and the church at Ephesus along with some of the cultural and religious culture of the time of the writing. This will help in interpreting and understanding this letter so we can apply it to our life in our day. He will try to produce an episode a week with each being about 30 minutes long. This episode is a bit longer, about 49 minutes, so that he can get all the background information in one episode.
