The Gift Of Koinonia

In this message, The Gift Of Koinonia, Kenny takes us into 1 John 1:1-2:2 and explains the importance of Jesus taking on flesh and shedding His blood and giving His life for us on the cross. He talks about the forgiveness we receive and that God’s wrath was taken away. But he focuses on the fellowship, or koinonia, we have been brought into by Christ and our responsibility to steward this gift of koinonia we have received from God.

1 John – Part 2

This teaching is part 2 of the series in 1 John where Kenny goes through 1 John 1:5-2:2. He shares about the contrast metaphors John uses of light and darkness as John starts to give some guidelines for maturing and deepening the fellowship, or koinonia, we have with God and each other. He also shares some things John gives as warnings to undermining having fellowship with God and each other.

Belonging To The Church

“Belonging To The Church” is the fifth sermon in the series “I Will Build My Church”. Pastor Kenny calls us to be functional members of the local church. He reminds us that each of us is a member of Jesus’ body and that we each belong to Him and each other and that we are called to use our gifts and function in the role God places us so the body will be built up and mature into the community He desires.

Kingdom Community

“Kingdom Community” is the fourth sermon in the series “I Will Build My Church”. Pastor Kenny reminds us of the devotion of the early church; devotion to the apostle’s teaching, fellowship or koinonia, break bread and prayer. He called us to devote ourselves to the same and we would be transformed by His Spirit to be the community He desires us to be.
